The community is invited to participate in a workshop for the General Plan Update being held by the County of Ventura, Planning Division. We’ll discuss what you like about the County, current issues and challenges, and potential options for addressing those challenges through the General Plan. The workshops will be held at twelve locations throughout the County from July 13th through August 11th. Each workshop will cover the same topics and Spanish translation will be available at workshops in Oak View, Fillmore, and Saticoy.
The General Plan is the “blueprint” for future growth and development within the unincorporated areas of Ventura County over the next 20 years. A series of additional workshops will be held in the near future to address guiding principles for the General Plan, land use alternatives, and goals and policies that address a wide range of issues including land use, transportation, water, agriculture, economic development, and climate change.
